Sunrise, Florida -- Is today "National Ice Cream Day" or "National Junk Food Day," or something else entirely? Foodies need to guess no more. The DiningGuide(sm) service has expanded its coverage to include food holiday listings. The service is named DiningGuide Today and the food holidays are presented in an easy-to-use list format showing the upcoming special days so marketers and chefs can organize their calendars and plan ahead.
Food holidays are extremely popular in places such as social media. Based on the food of the day, large volumes of tweets and postings go out with hashtags for that day, such as #SugarCookieDay or #HotDogDay. The DiningGuide website shows the popular Twitter hashtags in addition to a link to additional information on EventGuide.
"Based on the kinds of searches we were seeing, we decided to add this feature to DiningGuide," commented MetroGuide CEO Mark Metz.
