Partnering
Overview
Looking to partner with MetroGuide? We're always on the lookout for good partnership opportunities. In particular,
we are looking for content exchanges, but we are open to all kinds of great ideas that can add value to both parties.
Frankly, we are inundated with partnership requests of various types and unfortunately we cannot engage in every one. To save
both parties valuable time, the guidelines below may answer questions you may have in advance.
-
Please Be Patient. Our inboxes are always flooded, just like yours. It may take us a little while to get back to you and get the deal done, but if it makes sense, we'll do the deal. When we commit to a project, we like to put adequate resources and attention behind it to make it a success.
-
Keep It Mutual. Please don't ask us to indemnify you if you are not willing to indemnify us. If you want the authority to send out a press release with our name, then we want the same.
-
Acknowledge Our Marks. To do business with us, you have to acknowledge our intellectual property rights in our domain names and brand names.
-
No Exclusives. Our sites link to multiple partners, and we prioritize links primarily based on what's useful to our readers. Given MetroGuide's long history and status in the industry, we consider asking for an exclusive to be in poor taste.
-
Site-Specificity. Any agreement we enter must specify the domains in question. A deal that's entered into for one domain doesn't automatically mean all domains owned or operated by MetroGuide are part of the deal.
-
Quick Cancellation. We understand that all partnerships require a commitment of time, however, the easier the contract is to terminate after a trial period, the faster we can get the deal signed. Naturally, as much as possible we prefer to "try before we buy."
